Two designs from an array of possibilities

Our Devices

Our team has 2 design families for possible approaches to the problems of alternative access. Currently there is the sheath modification and sheath support solutions named DuoLink and OmniLink respectively.

Duolink

Sheath modification design.

The DuoLink focuses on fast, simple, and effective modification and reassembly of the eSheath in the cath lab right before the TAVR procedure is done. DuoLink’s design preserves the specialized tip of the eSheath in order to prevent damage to the vasculature and allow for a smooth transition as the sheath is inserted into the body. This design allows for length alterations with the current eSheath device for more personalized operations.

Benefits

Our device preserves the positives of the eSheath, while allowing for more custom procedures. It prevents over penetration of the heart with the introducer and sheath. Additionally, it has a simple and foolproof assembly even for those without much knowledge of the process. The devices used for the DuoLink are made to be small and fit in the original packaging of the eSheath so it can be an option for any hospital to modify the length of the sheath should the need arise.

Omnilink

Sheath support design.

The OmniLink works by supporting and securing the position of the eSheath after it has been inserted. It uses patient weight to reduce movement and stabilize the foundation while the arm can move through a wide range of motions to attach to the sheath. The grip at the end of the OmniLink arm clamps around the hub of the sheath and then the grip and arm can lock through a friction fit and a rotational lock.

Benefits

Our design allows for a simple, yet robust stabilizing system for an unmodified sheath during the TAVR procedure. It reduces the amount of space taken up around the operating table by acting as a third arm for a physician and removes the need for an entire other physician to hold the sheath in position for alternative access cases.
